My health journey, then my wife’s, started with one foundational thought: I’ve got to find a way of eating that doesn’t make me hungry.
That flipped dieting on its head. It was much more profound than I realized at the time. Hunger is a hormonal issue (leptin, insulin among others), a blood sugar issue, a nutrient density issue, satiation and satiety issue, changing your taste buds to real food, and resetting what is sweet.
A calorie is not a calorie indeed.
